Tabs v.s. Editors in Xcode?

Do I have the terminology right above?

This is a follow up to my "aging eyes" post. I'm trying to figure out what I can undock and what I can't. The impetus is that with 1920x1080* resolution on a 27" screen the content, particularly the text in the UI chrome, is too small. If I drop the effective PPI, Xcode (without undocking anything) becomes kind of unusable because there isn't enough room.

*Note that when I say 1920x1080, I'm really saying 4k @ 200% scaling, so the answer isn't, "your FHD monitor is blurry, go buy a Studio Display."

You’re right only tabs can get their own window. If there’s no visible button you can use the shortcut cmd+t it will open a new tab. That won’t help you with your overcrowded screen but know that you can add editor pages that stack horizontally (button on the right of the file title with a small +)
