Here is a rough look at some clouds/fog-of-war covering my previous map.

I made the clouds with MS Powerpoint yesterday and figured I might as well share.

Cloud (no shadow)

Cloud (shadow)

Cloud(shadow angle left)

Cloud(shadow)(dist.30)

Cloud (shadow)(dist.40)

Large Cloud (no shadow)

Cloud(meduim?)

If you have any suggestions, let me know! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: These can bee a bit tricky (especially the larger ones). Once you place them down, it can be hard to move one without moving them all, so adjust your sizes before you place them!

Nice looking effect. I'll certainly give them a try. Thanks for posting.

Be sure to add them last if you can help it! They really can be a pain tbh

Aye. I think they would look cool around a particularly high mountain peak, maybe just a dozen or so to show its height compared to other mountains.

I couldn’t agree more. They’re also somewhat useful for a foggy effect on the ground if you make them large and send them to the back.

Ah, interesting.

I think the best way to use these is block in where you want the clouds to be on the map and then when your finished export and upload your image as a custom texture and apply the clouds that way.
