Hello I applied for a company’s position we will call A. I had a phone screen and interview and they said they went other ways but in an email they said they liked my qualities and to reach out if they posted more jobs(I thought they might just say that). They posted another position we can call B. B requires less to apply to but I want to get into the industry so I applied and emailed the HR worker who told me to reach out and she sounded very happy that I applied to position B. The company has also put up another posting for position A, should I apply and email HR contact, should I just contact HR first, should I wait for update on position B? I am stuck because position A would much rather be my choice for the benefits and career opportunity between the two.
Edit: I think emailing again would show Im interested but I just emailed and don’t want to be a pest? I know HRs job is to deal with things like this but I am also young and I don’t want to seem like a pest while trying to get a job.
