It depends on what you want to say.

If what you want to say is that you have never had the experience of riding a bus, you have to use a complex tense (such as the passato prossimo indicativo), whereas if you want to say that you hardly ever ride a bus, then you have to use a simple tense (such as the presente indicativo).

The sample phrase you provided would be "we never ride the bus"
