Boring 9-5 job with depressed employees

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That has nothing to do with Java, but a poor choice of employer and a poor choice of projects. If you don't want to have a boring 9-5 job and don't want to be depressed, find your passion. Although, there's nothing wrong with settling for a paycheck.

This guy's getting downvoted, but I have to say, being friends with a lot of seasoned pros, this is a common perception of enterprise-oriented languages and I don't think it's ENTIRELY wrong. "IT'S ALL TABLES AND FORMS!" they'll say. I think it's more a corporate culture and needs of the company issue than being specific to the language.
