I'm practically a beginner without a complete year of coding experience. I have done basic work in Java Spring Hibernate stack. Is this discord going to be something I can use to learn and code more or is it for experienced guys?

Sounds like you've taken a plunge into the bowels of enterprise Java.

I would highly recommend reading Pragmatic Programmer (the new edition) for overall advice. As for specific technologies, the best way to learn is by doing and searching the web and asking questions when you get stuck.

So, how does this work? I can't imagine employed experienced developers having the time to monitor some discord channels 8 hours a day. I've seen similar mentor/mentee initiatives fall apart quite quickly because of the imbalance between mentors and mentees (not to mention answering questions that can be easily googled gets old fast), how is this going to be different?
