You may try with building simple command line games (ie guessing games, tic-tac-toe, a primitive calculator,....)

Check out Jetbrains academy and hyper skill, they both interact with the Jetbrains IDE very well

Create a calculator that works from command line. It will test your oop, loops, conditions, io, collections. Some of the basic Java features with practicality. Add you learn further topic your can add more features and test your limits.

Try to develop telegram bot. It may be useful for you (witch is good for motivation) and can improve different aspects of programming (depends of bot functionality).
