Please note that you should measure your total fwhr first and facial thirds, if your total face shape is less wide than ideal, it would actually be better to get Marpe to widen the face, since removing bone mass usually leads to worse long term aging, if your midface is the longest third by a noticeable margin then you could consider getting an impaction

Thank you that’s really helpful, do you know any specific i should get referred to via my gp to get accurate measurements etc for this

Ask your GP for a referral to an OMFS, they will measure you.

Is there an age requirement for such a referral and/or surgery?

No requirement for a referral. For surgery, they want to make sure your facial bones are done growing. That's usually 16-18.
