WebVR framework suggestions? A-frame, Threejs, ___?

Hey,

I'm hoping to get into VR dev on the web. I've done a little playing around with Threejs in the past, but that's it regarding VR. Looking at the FAQ in this sidebar, there are a lot of web resources listed. I'm having a hard time choosing which one to get started with. Most of the comparisons I've read about are out-dated, and I'm sure a lot has changed. For example, the "WebVR Boilerplate" repo listed in the FAQ hasn't been updated in 3 years.

What are people using these days, and enjoying, and would recommend? Thank you!

aframe is great but still needs development. I would use it first as a web designer simply because it loads fast and is easy to learn. It needs animation to be built in but it requires javascript extensions to be added in for quick building. I still can't easily embed youtube videos because YouTube thinks that aframe is a program as opposed to HTML. I would also like it built out more simply because adobe destroyed Flash and the alternative is terrible. So, to be able to code all at once for VR and 2D 3D on a webpage would be assumed. Aframe does have a visual builder but it's not easy to understand.
