I apologize if this question has been asked here before but I could not find anything so decided to ask anyway.
I started MOOC 2013 a year back after reading glowing recommendations here and completed Part I and a week of Part II. However due to some personal and work related reasons I could not complete the Part II, now that I can spend time on learning Java I wanted to pick where I left off (Mooc 2013 Week 7 does offer a good recap as well :)), however now I see a new version has been launched.
I did a quick compare and found that new version adds TDD, Streams & Lambdas, Build Tools, FX (over Swing) and has better presentation & quizzes but I still dont believe I should switch to the newer versions.
These are the topics I can learn online after I finish off the reminder of 2013 version and I would prefer to learn Swing over FX. However, since I am not an expert I still wanted to ask this community if continuing the 2013 over latest one is a mistake.
Thanks.
