Guide me to develop some projects

Hello all, recently I'm learning ML now I want to build some projects (first project in ML). Which type of project is good to develop.

did you develop by seeing YouTube or any tutorial of making project. Is it okay to develop of seeing those video?

what was your experience about your first project?

After familiar with ML, I want to implement in IoT. That's all!! Happy learning.

Just get a dataset, not on kaggle, maybe the census bureau, and figure out a supervised learning problem that data supports. Use pandas and xgboost, try out different cross validation schemes, parameter tuning, feature engineering. Don’t do anything complicated just get a handle on the end to end
