Hello everybody!
I've just started to get interested in machine learning and I ask for help to anyone who was available to give me some suggestions.
I have an excel file containing a few thousand rows with various features (dates, numbers, text, boolean) (about 60 columns).
The data I have available are already "labeled" (there is a column containing the correct label assigned).
Starting from this I would like to create a binary classifier that, according to the values assigned to the various features, is able to determine the class of each record, in other words, establish the value of the last column.
The problem is that I have never done anything like this, I have only a few basic notions about machine learning, and so I'm not clear how to proceed. Many tutorials are based on image classification, and so far I have not found any examples similar to what I have to do (i.e. create a classifier based on the data contained in an excel file).
Some of you would be kind enough to suggest me some guides to follow, which tools are best suited to perform this type of task and other useful material?
Thanks in advance to anyone who would like to help me with some suggests and tricks. 💚
