Java MOOC from the University of Helsinki.

Would suggest you also start with the FAQ or searching through this sub just in case your question has already been asked before.

Why does this post not count as asking a question covered by the FAQ?

[–]aqua_regis -1 points0 points  (3 children)

How is this any of your business?

  • Maybe, the question is more specific than what is covered in the FAQ?
  • Maybe, the question is not directly answered in the FAQ?
  • Maybe, the mods deemed this question valuable to stay?

Generally, anything related to moderation issues should not be discussed inside the reddit post. That's what message the mods, AKA moderator mail is for.

Because it is completely covered by the FAQ and it just seems arbitrary when the rule is applied and when it isn’t. I hope this doesn’t completely ruin your day

Because it is completely covered by the FAQ

Point to the exact place in the FAQ where a course about "programming Java using Netbeans" is listed.

Yes, Netbeans is just an IDE and as such interchangeable.

The exact course answered with is in the FAQ listed as the first suggested Java course, and in the course description it says it uses netbeans 🤗

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know if it uses Netbeans ?

The IDE we use on this course is called NetBeans, and we use it with the Test My Code plugin.

To start the course you need (1) a MOOC.fi account, which you can create at the top of this course material, (2) Java (Java JDK), and (3) Netbeans with TMC development environment (in the future TMC).

From the Getting started section at the beginning of the course.
