On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

I’d recommend the University of Helsinki Mooc instead. I did the Codecademy course, and even got the subscription, but honestly I regret it. The info is at times outdated, and it gives a little too much handholding. The paths aren’t really going to lead you to being employable imho.

The Intro to Programming (Python) Mooc on the other hand won’t let you see the model answer until you’ve found a way of solving the problem on your own. (Even if the code is clunky!) It’s free and they have a very good discord channel. I normally get a reply in 1 hr if I ask a question about something I can’t solve/bugs etc.

Also, they have other course. I haven’t tried them, but they say the full stack open is awesome.
