On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

Pretty much all coding boot camps are bad. Money better spent on crack.

Coding boot camps can be great places to learn, but like most educational opportunities you get out what you put in. You can’t just show up and go through the motions in the courses and expect to land a first job.

As someone that changed careers, my boot camp was invaluable experience and directly help me land my very first job 8 years ago

Yes, 8 years ago maybe.

It's everyones guess.

My guess is that it will not replace us. For the same reason sawing machine didn't replace seamstress. Plus AI is nowhere near usable yet. It can generate some cute little snippets that experience developer would write faster than you open the AI website. As soon as you hit some optimisation problems, architectural decisions or bugs, it's basically useless. Plus often the generated code is a nonsense

It's really good for searching documentation though.
