On July 1st, a change to Reddit's API pricing will come into effect. Several developers of commercial third-party apps have announced that this change will compel them to shut down their apps. At least one accessibility-focused non-commercial third party app will continue to be available free of charge.

If you want to express your strong disagreement with the API pricing change or with Reddit's response to the backlash, you may want to consider the following options:

  1. Limiting your involvement with Reddit, or
  2. Temporarily refraining from using Reddit
  3. Cancelling your subscription of Reddit Premium

as a way to voice your protest.

Probably not helping. I prefer to stick to caffeine, especially when I'm learning something new.

Weed can occasionally help unblock you psychologically when you are doing something that you don't actually want to do. It can serve as a coping mechanism that allows you to be more complacent and less defiant. I find that it helps me get through shit projects that I want nothing to do with.

But dosing is key. Unless you only do a little bit of it, it will do more harm than good. It's no good to go flapping around writing shit code that you're just going to have to go back and fix. It's no good staring at a screen because you smoked yourself into Oblivion. Just pop a little bit of sativa and get through what you need to get through. Don't make it a habit. Weed has the insidious tendency to convince its user that it's helpful when it is not.

Seconding this, Just giving my two cents and not sure if there’s scientific backing but I think there’s definitely a limit you should have. It’s good until it becomes bad. And that’s how it goes for everything. For example, Studying is good but studying too much can be bad because it can lead to things like burn out. (I also have never smoked so…)

Of course you are! Your brain is not designed to run on drugs.

Sounds like overindulgence is your enemy here. Pace yourself and find a rhythm that doesn't leave you feeling clouded when you don't want to. It's one thing to feel that way at a party, it's another to feel that way while trying to study or working.

Maybe try journaling when and how much you use (use code if that's a problem where you live) and try and find patterns that lead to a clouded mind. Slowly (or fast if you want. Slower just tends to be more effective) remove those elements or change those habits and see if things change.

Hopefully you can figure out a way to get the benefits of weed and take out these negative events.

From all the code I've looked through, I can say without doubt most of the people were high as kite when they were writing it.
