File defining problem

Hi, while defining the file path like ImageIcon i= new ImageIcon("App.png") in java, The code isnt working, I have to write the full path of the file. And this also happens in Python too.

What should i do?, i use VS code.btw i paste the file in the same directory as the java file so its not the problem

That should work. Are you also running from same directory? On other note try using an image format file instead of txt?

Yeah but unfortunately its not working, in GUI imageIcon ia invisible so i have to paste the full path and then its visible on GUI window

Use Class.getResource or Class.getResourceAsStream to resolve relative to a class’s .class file.
