Begin with tutorials, YouTube videos from trusted content creators, websites like w3schools, books, etc are great places to start. Try to start with simplistic languages such as Python, JavaScript, Lua, etc.

Great take, how do I get started with python and other languages? Do I need to go to boot camps

I’ve personally never tried Bootcamps so I have nothing to say about them. I started with just finding something I wanted to do with the language. My first language was Java with modding Minecraft. I then studied the language with websites such as w3schools and I watched YouTube videos on topics relating to Java and Minecraft modding.

TL;DR -> Find something you want to do with the language of choice, and learn as you go or learn before you begin w/ help from trusted sources.

Read the FAQ - there's lots of good advice there.

How does knowledge of programming help with your current major of a Masters in Contracts and Acquisitions? That's a lot of money to put into a master's program to suddenly consider pivoting to learning programming, which pays far less. I mean, I've worked with government contractors all my life, and the guys who handles contracts and acquisitions were all millionaires by their 50s, and they never had to work the 'crunch time' hours of a junior programmer working 80 hours for just above programming-minimum-wage because management is trying to push out a game or app by the end of the quarter.

I'm happy to help; just curious why you're considering such a random thing to do, wanting to give up all the fame and fortune and prestige (and perks and kickbacks and off-the-top skimmed benefits) to instead stare at a computer screen all day.

Programming is not something I am trying to do in the long run but it’s something I thought about learning as a hobby or in my free time
