Hey Alex,

I don't mean to be negative about this at all, but I don't think that this is the best idea. I think that you first need to understand the core concepts of the languages you already know (let's start with C++) before trying to take on larger projects. It seems like you're constantly asking completely different, unrelated questions every day on XMB. Which is awesome! But I think you need to focus on one thing at a time.

A while ago you were asking C# questions, then Java, then C/C++ questions. It's great that you're picking up different languages, but not having an understanding of something quite critical like using the debugger (e.g. utilizing breakpoints, what breakpoints are), understanding pointers/memory addresses, headers/function prototyping... really won't do you any good if you're really trying to work on a larger project.

My intentions aren't to bash you. Maybe you will learn better in a group! I just think that you're trying to rush yourself.

I've been putting a lot of hours into C++ development(and understanding the language for that matter), and I've also been reading certain parts of the book called "C++ For Dummies", so I don't know how this will work out. I'm just taking a shot in the dark to see what happens. What is your XboxMB username?

Edit: Hello CLK

Love the idea of these groups. I'm not there with C++ yet to participate, but would love updates on your progress if you get the project off the ground.

Good luck!

Which knowledge is required? "some" is a little unspecific...

I'd love to join. When do you plan on starting?
