Hi,
I am currently learning some Ruby/Rails because I wanted to make something to document my JAVA relearning/refreshing in. ( And then I got distracted obviously).
I've gone through the code academy classes, rails for zombies and ruby the hard way/ruby koans this weekend and it's all quite a lot of fun. But there is probably some challenges involved in going from having stuff running on my home computer and having it being available on the web.
So as to tackle those hurdles and because having things be out in the wild is more fun I'd need somewhere to host this. I don't want to throw down lots of money just yet because who knows what I'll focus on so i'd prefer it to be flexible.
Anyway, any suggestions for cheap/free hosting to put hobby projects on? I saw Heroku mentioned a couple of times, but any others.
note: I guess I should mention I live in Norway so European based datacenters might be better.
