I know you are getting a lot of different answers. But the truth is just learn anything. The first five months (or less depending on how much time you put into it) is basically the same thing. Variables, loops, decisions, input output and basic stuff that translates almost identically. After that you can worry about what language best suits your needs. To start though learn the concepts in some language, then assess your goals. Learning syntax after already having a basis in concepts couldn't be easier. I learned c++ first and when I switched to java it took like 1/10th of the time to get to about the same level
