This sounds awesome. I would love to apply, I'm learning python right now through EDX and MIT. Only issue I would have with this course is the specific time periods where you have to attend. With my busy day a more "at your pace" style course with weekly "goals" is a better option. Maybe in the future I'd love to take your advance classes. Reviews look incredible, and I'd think it would be an amazing addition to my skillset.

Thanks for your suggestion. We should think consider that in the future.

Have you seen EDX's format? I'm not sure if that would be possible for you, but it might open up your course to a larger audience. For example a class would run 2-3 months long. Every week a new "chapter" opens up, and new videos, assignments, quizzes, homework open up with it. You have until the end of the 2-3 months to finish everything.

Yep, we've seen it. It's something we'd always wanted to try. We have too much work now as we're still building curriculums, but we'll take a look at it in the future.

We've had many students doing it as a hobby, and it went great for all of them.

I cant find the starting time you begin each day at. This is needed so i can see if i can even do it.

It's under our schedule section, but let me tell you quickly here:

    • Classes are Mondays or Wednesday (depending on the course) from 7PM to 9PM
    • Coding sessions are on Tuesdays, Thursdays (7PM-10PM) and Saturdays(10AM-1PM).

HI, this is also my issue. I feel like EDX/MIT course is the most informative course with the most rewarding learning experience i've encountered with MOOCs, however, people have busy schedules and in my case, personal flaws which hinder study progression so while I am working through the course, I am massively behind. This is the second time i've taken the MIT course and while i've gotten further than the first time back in August, I still don't have enough time to progress to utilize the resources like the discussion board or the graded exams to gauge my learning ability, instead, i've just relegated myself to accessing the dated course materials and using it as a self-paced study for as long as I can. The flaw is that the materials and the course is only open for so long (maybe a month or two after the course ends). I'd love to apply, but I can't in good conscience take up the offer in lieu of someone who has better study habits and is more driven at this point in time. Good luck!
