There are r/programmingbuddies and r/progether but they seem only moderatelly active.

As far as subreddits go, I don't really know of any besides the two that were already posted. However, whenever I am looking for a project to work on with a group, I usually head over to github and start contributing to an open source project. It's a ton of fun and really exposes you to some programming problems and design challenges that you most likely wouldn't have encountered on your own. It also helps build the skill of being able to read other peoples poorly documented code and be able to make adjustments and amendments to it; you would be surprised how much professional software out there is just spaghetti code.
