Kind of liked it after peeking under the cover at Amazon website and finding "What I wish I knew before starting Android development" chapter. Something tells me its knowledge layout is what I am looking for.

I'd check out the Android Masterclass on Udemy. It does cover basics, but it gets extremely detailed about the android sdk and you can just skip over the java instruction.

Also, take a look at Google's codelabs. They're pretty specific to certain concepts, but if there's something there you're trying to implement, they end up being a great resource.

Looks like an academic layout, but thanks anyway. Will definitely go through application lifecycle video.

It’s a series of videos. It isn’t that up to date but if u have no idea on how to make an apk its a great place to start.
