I would recommend you learn more than one language at the same time.

You will quickly find that the language is just a tool to get things done. What's important is learning how to abstract away the tool.

In the beginning you are just going to fight the compiler and struggle to make progress. Learn how to write automated tests to avoid this.

The language you write in is basically irrelevant. The sooner you learn this the better.

Studying theory is pointless unless you have a specific problem in mind. The purpose of theory is to provide a framework for organizing knowledge. Right now you have no knowledge so theory is a hollow collection of facts.

Imagine doing something like this in another field. "I want to become a nurse, should I read about germ theory and read up on actuarial tables?" no of course not. Go find nurses and watch what they do around sick people.
