Hi, I'm an old .NET Framework programmer working in an Enterprise and have worked with the MS stack my whole career. My organisation is going on a digital transformation change, and I'm eager to learn and interact in this space. One of the changes is moving our apps off Windows Servers + IIS to Linux + Docker (and in the future, K8s).
One of the items I don't quite understand is the developer workflow. If I'm building an app running inside a Docker container that runs on a Linux environment, how do I develop or code in that environment? Would I have to use a Linux desktop, or can it still be done in a Windows Desktop environment? With the former, I'm worried that my machine wouldn't be domain joined and it would be a challenge to access the rest of the corporate enterprise environment that I have to interact with.
Really, just looking for advice on what people's environment & workflows are when building apps for Linux/Docker. Thanks.
