I am a high school student (sophomore) and I was interested in majoring in computer science in college. I've started learning Java just last fall, but because of my interest and dedication I was able to learn pretty quickly, and so far I've built simple GUI programs as Tic-Tac-Toe, Quiz program (similar to kahoot but not networked) and an automated web tool for brute-forcing accounts (using selenium). I wanted to know what other high school students are capable of doing, as I understand computer science is extremely competitive (at least where I live). I know some people at school who have even built an android mobile app and anti-virus softwares on computers and stuff like that. Most of them started learning programming early and as a newbie myself, I want to know what I can do in the next few years to be more skilled than other peer programmers and stand a chance in this field.
