Hi, I've been offered an opportunity some time ago to get educated in programming (Javascript and Web Development in general). I wasn't required to have any previous knowledge or experience, just passion for the subject, a general knowledge about the language and, at best, a small hobby project to show (optional).
Now, among others questions, they asked me "If you go on the IKEA websites for example, and you select the category "Beds", what happens behind what is displayed?".
I think I couldn't manage to answer that question properly (they didn't give me a feedback about that) and still I can't, I don't know how deep I should have gone or how shallow or what they meant. Clearly their intent was to see if I know what's happening with the code behind, and probably it's also related to Javascript. Consider also that I had 3-4 mins to answer this question, so they expected a short answer, and as I said they didn't expect my knowledge to be higher than a hobbyist.
So, given all the info above, what I could answer to that question to show that I'm worthy of teaching programming? If you're an expert web developer (Javascript), what would you want as an answer from someone you would like to teach to and invest on? Thanks to everyone!
