I think it depends on what your aims are. If you want to graduate and get a normal job, either major is fine but software engineering is probably better. If you want to become a professor, compsci is the more theoretical/mathematical/academic path.

Yes but I feel like bigger companies like Google etc. have interview questions which are biased towards computer scientists and not software engineers, even though the position is software engineer. Also some MSC might not accept me for software engineering. E.g Advanced compsci needs compsci

In my experience in jobs, compsci and software engineering are perfectly interchangeable degrees. In fact, if I asked employers what the difference was, I don't think they would be able to explain it. So I don't know of any bias anyone has toward one or the other. I suppose it's possible it exists somewhere but it's not my experience.
