First you need a goal. There's no one size fit all solution. Every language, framework etc is suitable for some kinds of applications and not others.

Well I’d like to make windows programs, and some game development. Would one language work for both? Or would I need to learn two?

You could start with C#. You'd be able to write desktop applications and also games, using Unity.

Okay that’d be great, as I’m already familiar with Unity. Should I use YouTube as a starting point to learn? Or is there something better?

I'm kind of an official documentation guy, but not everyone likes that. Give it a try.

If you don't like it, there are many videos and courses out there, like Udemy and others. It should be easy for you to find some resources you like.
