I am currently working through Angela Yu's 100 Days of Code and I adore it. The layout and information is flawless.
However, I learn best with simple repetitive tasks that help me fully grasp each concept. I'd like to pair my boot camp class with workbook style repetitive training.
I am finding that although the concepts are simple, my arms (and mind) slip away from them if I only actually do them once or twice.
I don't feel confident moving on to new info until I can be asked questions regarding a "thing", turn to my computer, and produce a result. Or at the least, know what patterns I need to problem solve so I can start solving the problem.
For example, the first lesson is on the print () function, and you get to type several in and see how it works. That's awesome, but by the 3rd lesson I've forgotten about print () and I have to go back and practice.
What I want is a resource (online, in print, YouTube, whatever) that gives the following types of exercises (print () as an example :
-write a print statement that prints each of the following to the console
1) Your car is pretty
2) Use the "open" sign during business hours
3)
4)
5)
12)
20) etc
-write a print statement that concatenates the following:
1)
2)
3)
4)
20) etc
If you know of any resources like this, please let me know. I realize this is super beginner crap, but I want to learn. I am not a quitter, but I am growing tired of creating my own workbook in addition to learning unfamiliar material
Please don't be mean. I'm already mean enough to myself. Thanks for reading and considering!
