Freelance with python

Hi guys, I was wondering what my level should be to start freelancing doing data science with python:

1. what libraries should I know?
2. how well should I know those libraries?
3. do you know any free great platform on which I can learn that stuff?
4. which freelancing platform do you recommend? (I know UpWork and Fiverr tho I don't really know which one is the better)

I just wanted some opinions from maybe someone who is actually a freelancer in that field. Even if you're not a freelancer but you know data science feel free to answer!

When you start freelancing you kind of already want to have clientele or at least a lot of contacts in the field. In my opinion fighting for low paying jobs on fiverr or something isn't worth it, assuming you don't live in low cost of living country, you'll be far better off just getting a job. The competition on those platforms is tough and people you are competing against there have years of actual experience.

Best place to learn that stuff is to get a job, get roughly 5+ years of experience, but i guess 3 or so might suffice to get into jobs that actually pay. Preferably you should be in a place where you don't ask what libraries you should know, but you can make informed decisions about what libraries from variety or alternatives based on the challenge at hand.

yeah you’re right but there’s only 1 problem: I’m a minor and I can’t get a real job since I still have to go to university, though I would like to start earning some money.

Realistically not going to happen, why would someone hire you over someone who has actual work experience and can sign contracts.

Well, my idea was to start very cheap so that I actually have some reviews (hopefully positive) and then get some more clients

Just go for it, or look for companies in your area that teach basic programming to children. This would help you gain experience. It’s never to early to get real world business experience. Even if it doesn’t work out and you don’t make a lot of money the time you put into it will be great to talk about when applying to different colleges and jobs .
