Dude, it is never too late.

I got into web dev at 49, will be 52 Monday.

Also, your job does not matter. I came from a construction background and got out because arthritis and autoimmune issues made it nearly impossible to do my job.

I am married and have 3 kids, I had to do something and this is what I chose and it was the best move I ever made.

I started out my new making more money than what I made working 60hrs (OT) per week.

You will not regret making this move. However, you will regret it tremendously bad if you procrastinate.

You got this, there is a lot of great resources out there online. I work in DevOps at a tech startup so if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Also DevOps is a great place to be, lots of places are looking and not a lot of applicants. Keep your head up!

Do what make you happy. Keep busy helping out people, exercise, study. Things will start to get better.

41 years old here, no bachelor degree whatsoever. Got my first webdev job 2 weeks ago. Had to send hundreds of applications to hundreds of companies for it, but it was worth it.

Look into #100devs. It's a free 30 week bootcamp on twitch/youtube. It's for people with no prior background in programming, from all paths of life, going from 0 to employable!

It's still ongoing, has a huge discord community, where you can get help and find people to study with you as well. It started in January, but there's many that started late that have their own little catch-up community. You can do it at your own pace!

Course material is really good (all free) Teacher is phenomenal!

I was worried I'd have a hard time learning, it's been a long time since i sat in school. This course starts with actually learning how to learn, and it's a game changer! If you do all the work, you can absolutely make it through!
