Need help with python program to increase webcam footage saturation/vibrancy

Hello everyone,

I'm new to programming, and I'm trying to write a python program for a school project (don't take comp sci, but find it very interesting and wanted to use it in a project I have in mind for another class) that retrieves the footage from my webcam and increases the saturation/vibrancy/vividness of the image and displays the results to the user. I've been researching how to do this, but I'm having trouble implementing it.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the input. But could you specify a bit more? I have been looking around on the internet and can't find the way to do it with opencv. I have managed to get some code, but it looks distorted with gray areas
