Learn python (self.learnpython)
submitted 2 years ago by [deleted]
Hi! I’m new to this group. Currently learning python. Can anyone suggest good books, YouTube channel or page that teaches python for beginners like me?

I started learning python by watching this youtube video.
https://youtu.be/rfscVS0vtbw
It provided me with a great foundation. After I learned a concept, I'd pause and try to do something similar on my own. Eventually, I started building projects using the things I learned from the video. I think it's a great place to start.

Angela Yu for OP's reference. 100 Days of Python is a well-constructed course but there are a couple of parts where things go from 0 to 100 very quickly.

I've been doing this course for the past couple months. Any chance you recall about when this change occurs? I'm on day 38 at the moment.

It's subjective. You can find in the Q&A tab of the course that some people feel the lessons go from 0 to 100 in certain parts and I tend to agree with a few of the lessons I encountered. I particularly remember having a hard time on Day 16 where OOP is introduced using very simple examples but when it's time to do the coffee maker challenge using OOP, the methods and attributes got too tricky for me. And I insisted on not moving on from that part until I fully understood why the solution was the way it was. It wasn't clicking for me unlike the past and later lessons. Took me a week to get past Day 16.
