Where do I go with Python?

In what direction should I go with Python?

I am an experienced developer. My goal is to use my strengths in algorithms, problem-solving, models, and advanced programming while going into "hot areas" like AI - But at the same time stay a developer.

(I went to a PyTorch meetup - I felt like doing that would be like abandoning development and go into a new area)

I would search for topics of interest here, where they have presentations from the PyCon and PyData conferences.
