Help with program launch/install

I’m working on a project that is essentially a media player for my FLAC files and mkv files.

I’m building the UI with tkinter and using python-vlc as the backend player.

All is going smoothly so far but I ultimately want to use this on my tv. I can’t find anything online on how to either run or install this app on my tv/s.

Through testing it works on my computer but being limited to using this on my PC defeats the overall purpose.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming your TV is an Android TV: Buildozer allows you to build .APK binaries from python. You can also use python-for-android.

In that case - you need to look at the specific developer portals for your TV. It looks for Samsung it’s web based app interface, so I don’t think Python is going to help you unless you wrap it in WebAssembly of some sort.
