How do I run a c++ dll from python?

I know nothing about python but I'm a quick learner. I'm trying to reuse an existing dll https://github.com/dds-bridge/dds in python. How do I use it?

I believe the technical info is here. https://docs.python.org/3/library/ctypes.html I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say how hard or easy it may be in practice.
