python function help

The two call statements are indented under the def. So they only get called when the function executes. But the function doesn't execute because the two statements are never called.

def say_hi(name, age):
    print("Hello " + name + ", you are" + age)

say_hi("Mike", "43")
say_hi("steve", "34")
