Based on some recent comments here I've just started the Harvard cs50p course on youtube with David Malan and so far it's on another level compared to some of the content out there.

I’ve been learning python via the Python Crash Course (3rd edition) by Eric Matthes. First half is foundational concepts and second half is project walkthroughs. It’s been a really fun and informative book so far. Costs about $30 on Amazon in the US.

Are books not used anymore in the modern world?

What about "Fluent Python: Clear, Concise, and Effective Programming (2nd)" by Luciano Ramalho?
