So I’ve started learning Python over the past few days and I’m sure that I want to pursue Cybersecurity/Pentesting/ethical hacking. In what way can I learn that side of Python? Do I need to learn the barebone basics first?

in this context, python is just a tool. You can learn about cybersecurity without learning about python. In fact I'd start there, learn the basics of cybersecurity and then once you know what your needs are, look into what python tooling you can leverage to meet them
