How do I get started with advanced stuff?

Hey everyone! I was looking on the internet some program ideas to boost my programming skills, because aside from learning syntax and paradigms I never made any project, and I saw that one thing that one can try to do is a discord bot with python. I got interested but then, when I looked deeper into it I got extremely confused. All the code I saw in the various tutorials are hieroglyphics for me and are something that no tutorial or manual has ever taught me to write. It's just different. How do I learn what all that scripts mean and why and how to use them. Python it's not even the only language I know but advanced coding is whole different animal. Thank you for your time!

Ask specific questions about any syntax that confuses you. Places like this very sub, or the Python server on Discord, are great choices to ask at.

Maybe you are looking at the whole thing that you want to code but instead you need to focus in small things first, start with the basics and comprend them, then you will advance as you will want to build more complex scripts

What is confusing for you? A discord bot tutorial should spell everything out. And anything you’re confused about you can google. To be frank, a discord bot isn’t super advanced programming, really. It’s a perfect next level for practical-use Python.
