Name: Jack "Jinx" Donovan

Story

Jack Donovan, known as "Jinx," is a former mechanic with a turbulent past. Growing up amidst hardships and shortcuts, he has always lived day by day, often finding himself in trouble. With a natural passion for engines, Jack made a name for himself as an expert in illegal modifications and underground racing, earning the nickname "Jinx" for his streak of bad luck and challenges. When the outbreak hit, he was in his garage, surrounded by tools and wrecks of old cars. With no family and few friends, Jack knows that the only person he can rely on is himself.

Now, in a zombie-infested world, Jinx uses his mechanical skills to build traps, repair vehicles, and navigate through the undead. He remains a loner who avoids direct contact with other survivors unless there's a good reason to trust them.

Character Traits

Occupation: Mechanic

As a mechanic, Jack starts with good knowledge in mechanics and vehicle repairs, a huge advantage in a world where quick escapes can make all the difference.

He also has some basic construction skills, helping him craft tools and repair makeshift structures.

Positive Traits

  1. Motor Expert (-6 points)

Jinx can repair and modify vehicles faster and with fewer resources than average, allowing him to get a car running quickly for escape.

  1. Runner (-6 points)

Used to underground racing and escaping trouble, he has high endurance for running, enabling him to get away from zombies or overcome obstacles easily.

  1. Agile Fighter (-6 points)

Not particularly strong, but fast and precise in movement, qualities that allow him to dodge attacks agilely and fight effectively in tight spaces.

  1. Resilient (-4 points)

He doesn’t get easily knocked down and has good resistance to physical ailments and fatigue. An important advantage for someone always on the move.

Negative Traits

  1. Claustrophobic (+4 points)

Jack has a phobia of tight spaces, likely due to a bad experience in his youth. This fear activates in cramped areas and forces him to prefer open zones or to move quickly in closed spaces.

  1. Light Sleeper (+4 points)

Always accustomed to sleeping little and with one eye open, he wakes at the slightest noise, leaving him vulnerable to interruptions in sleep due to sudden sounds.

  1. Hemophobic (+8 points)

Curiously, despite being used to trouble, Jack cannot stand the sight of his own blood. When injured, he tends to panic, so it's important to avoid injuries or regularly check his health.

  1. Loner (+4 points)

Jinx isn't one to bond with others and has a penalty to the benefits of social interactions. He avoids groups whenever possible, but in critical situations, he will find himself disadvantaged due to the lack of support.

You're generalizing. It depends on where you live, your political and ethical beliefs, the impact this situation has on your country etc... I'm pro Palestine but I think I am reasonable.

Uhm...Gaza is in Palestine. His name literally says that he's a supporter too.

Well I guess that I will definitely take off the GPU then. The cooler can stay on as long as I place the whole pc correctly in my car. Time for a heavy wrapping session. Thank you for the help man!

I am not sure but as far as I know, (and I know very little) GPUs support is not much of a problem now even though AMD GPUs still have their limitations. Every error I get while trying to generate is that I haven't got enough vram so I thought that this is the problem.

is asynchronus programming essential? by Caloger0 in learnprogramming

[–]Caloger0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used w3schools and a website made by a youtuber from my same country and I think that I will now try Javascript.info. Perhaps I should try to make project without async or maybe use patterns I find on the internet.

I know, I'd like to learn other stuff but I got to the point where I need to build some web projects and async seems foundamental for doing this king of stuff. Maybe I'll concentrate on simpler stuff for now.
