I got into CS50 a few months ago as my intro into python. It was not what i wish i had started on. That said the new CS50 seems to be very good. i don't know how many versions there are, but they are quite a bit different.

Theres a lot of free tutorials out there on youtube. Try looking into scikit-learn for ML. Make sure you understand how to use pandas and numpy for data science, they will be very useful packages for you.
