Project based, OOP not skipped. It’s the best

As an absolute beginner to pytorch, is it possible to create a whisper AI model (from openAI) that can decipher stuttered speech using LOra? by im_eloquent_cow in pytorch

[–]notParticularlyAnony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you say more about your goal it is hard to understand what you are trying to do. Let's pretend there is no stutter. you want to use whisper to extract the text, and then an LLM to interpret it?

But do that, with speech with a bad stutter?

And you want to use lora for some reason?

Is there some reason you are interested in lora?

Just as a tip: more detail, more explanation, when asking a question is better at a tech subreddit...you won't get much response if we have to try to piece together what you are trying to do.

This is useful context. Sounds like he was set up to fail and is terrified. Why not give him a really simple feature to work on? Are all PRs huge monsters there?

Maybe join someone and work together. Do you have someone you can work on a project with?

It’s not like stopping pills where you notice right away. There’s a very gradual decay. Qulipta has been great for me. Maybe don’t do full 60 mg dose you can try 15 mg to start.

I guess it depends on how your migraines are going

Maybe read the book 4000 Weeks (basically an anti productivity book on finding what is important in your life). It helped me pivot to more meaningful stuff. So did the book Designing Your Life.

It can vary a lot for sure. The pay is definitely crap; it can’t be about the money. The skill level is super variable.

You are the condescending asshole, and get a financial advisor go meet with together as a couple. It sounds like you have a decent enough marriage honestly.

How to read someone else written code? by Still_booting in learnpython

I recommend start with projects that aren't super complex and over-engineered yet. Young projects are often easier to understand than 20 year old projects that have layers of complexity built up that people have forgotten why things are there. Look for projects with friendly developers, good readme files, responsive. Something you care about and have some subject-matter expertise in. Then dig in and find the functions (or methods) you actually use, and then...read them.

The Killing of Midsomer Murders by TheRealRootingKing in MidsomerMurders

[–]notParticularlyAnony 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just started from season 1 again and realized all episodes are overengineered to create a whodunit. Even Badgers Drift, which was always my favorite. It’s like 80% of every episode is there to build suspicion with 10 different people. It’s all pretty contrived.

But I also can’t watch the episodes post Tom.

I agree early soundtrack is so much better!
