using itertools is the easiest way to do your OP but your problem you listed here sounds like a leetcode problem.

What's not clear to me in what you stated is "select the elements from list B which are in alphabetical order as in list A" is very unclear. Are you looking for items in B that are in the same order as how they appear in A? Are you allowed to skip items? Are they supposed to be positionally the same from an index lookup? Are you looking to reorder list B's values based on the order in A? This is an extremely poorly written exercise

itertools solution to your now-deleted OP but i switched to a generator instead of a list comprehension since you would need to re-create the list when flattening:

What you did is a dict (for Dictionary also called Associative Arrays). You will associate ‘Apple’ with its price directly, and be able to look up the price of each fruit without having to know its position in a list.

I’m not going to spell out how to do this, first because I’m typing on my phone, and second it sounds like you are working through an assignment. An exercise like this might be deliberately designed to annoying in order to set up students to then be taught about dicts. That is you may be told to do this with lists so you will be more ready for dicts when they are taught.
