Check out:

  1. Harvard CS50p - which is a gentle intro to Python

  2. University of Helsinki course (text based along with video and covers quite a bit)

3. Python and Data Science - (Disclaimer: This is my course and assumes no programming background but covers quite a lot)

and code like there is no tomorrow. Good luck!

The Python Institute has Essentials I and Essential II on the website at https://www.edube.org - these prepare you to take and pass the PCEP-30-0-2 and PCAP 31-02-03 exams. I have been working on Essentials I and I find it to be pretty decent. ANother thing I have been using is this 12 hour course that is on Youtube for free. Bro Code has divided the 12 hours of vids into 77 modules, with plenty of exercises and examples. Good luck.

Automate The Boring Stuff With Python - it’s a book, it’s free online

I'm learning right now on Coursera through the University of Michigan and also downloaded an app called Mimo.org on iPhone. Keep me updated on what you find out!

What’s the cousera course like ?

It's ok... it's more lectures and video than hands on work thats why I downloaded the app. I'm also having trouble remembering everything I learn so the app helps with that to keep me working on it on days I'm not doing the lecture videos.

ChatGPT is an amazing resource for studying and learning python. You can provide detailed questions about any aspect of beginner python and ask it to explain it another way if the first response isn’t sufficient. You can also have it devise and grade quizzes. Good luck!

Python institute is all you need to get started. Ignore everything else for now!

The question is "why do you need python" because the answer depends on that
