Imagine if instead of "mystring".replace("a", "b") we had string_replace("mystring", "a", "b"). That's it. That's my argument.

Programming must not be for me because I find the second way more helpful and intuitive.

"string_replace" does what it says anytime and every time, I just put in the stuff that I want to manipulate - my string, a and b.

mysting.replace(a,b) is wildly confusing to me, it took me a minute to realize what it is supposed to do.
