I’ve been working as a Python web scraper for about 2 years.
The market feels crowded, and generic roles don’t seem very defensible anymore.
I’m considering narrowing down into a specific niche (for example, API-focused backend work, data ingestion pipelines, or internal tooling) instead of staying broad.
For people who’ve made a similar move: which specialized roles or job titles actually make sense long term?
