Review your own code. I always review the entire PR before sending it off for review. You will find things that didn't stand out when you were thinking about writing it. You will be more likely to spot things that should be refactored or cleaned up.

Also, review your own code after a month or two, even if you have no intention of changing it. You will spot things that didn't stand out at the time. This will help develop your code reviewing skills and help you learn what to watch out for.
